there is an issue with this; read on to find out more…then let’s talk

This is one of the things that bothers me about society. Despite being polite and respectful we still harbor so many bad ideas as normal thinking. Mayim is not just someone to look up to, she is what many girls should aspire to be … and men, smart and successful. We should all get used to this, and expect it. Intelligence is not a gender thing, it’s a human thing.

  1. Feminism didn’t get them there, it slowed their progress.

    • I completely agree

    • If you believe this is true, then you don’t understand feminism.

  2. BTW, even smart people like Bialik – and I have a great deal of admiration for her – still believe some very stupid things… when they fail to apply their smarts and allow personal bias and faith-based beliefs to get in the way. No one is immune.

For example, she believes the choice not to vaccinate her kids is justified. It’s not. At the very least it is incredibly selfish and very dangerous and puts not only her children at unnecessary risk for some terrible diseases but increases the risk to all those children whose parents did get them vaccinated. Being really intelligent is not a blanket protection from acting stupidly. Discipline in how one makes decisions based on respecting reality first is.
