Ηθική στην πολιτική

Yeah, I know… looks like Greek to me too. Wanna know what is totally freaking me out about this? I can read more than 50% of it… I tried and got the gist of the post before translating it…. how effing awesome is that? It’s been a very long time since I learned to read Greek…. I’m am impressed with myself today.

I was half way through that first paragraph when some part of my brain grabbed my left hand and slapped me in the forehead and then asked me “what are you doing?”

I’m reading this post I told myself.

But it’s in Greek I retorted.

Wait… what?

The human brain is a never ending series of wonders…..

Cool to read good-old Aristotle again (my native language is Greek). His writings on politics and ethos are classic and, sadly, ridiculously relevant to today’s Greece. Even cooler that you can understand half of it! Thanks for re-blogging.

    • Aristotle was probably the kind of guy that it would have been good to have a beer with.
I was kind of stunned when I found myself simply reading your post like I read any other blog post .. then realized, oh! It’s in Greek. It’s been a very long time since I used Greek.
      Be well.

The entry is not mine! I confused you by saying ‘thanks for re-blogging’, when I should have written ‘thanks for re-blogging something so interesting.’ My fault.
I would also have liked to have a long talk with the guy.

        • Ohhh … LOL, yes… I got confused. I’d like to spend a summer getting drunk with him. Who knows what I might learn. Such deep thinking is infinitely interesting to me.
